I was so relieved that in GenV they finally got rid of that stupid "ALL CAPS FOR EMPHASIS" shit with the pokemon and trainer names. I could actually have a name like, "Conrad," without feeling like everyone else was trying to make the point they were better than me.

…I will assume I am the only person here who heard Octopimp's "HEY, DAAAAAAAAAVE!" in their head.
I named myself THISGUY (all caps on purpose) so that every time I talk to someone it's like they're drunk at a party
i.e: "THIS GUUUUUUUY! How ya' doin' buddy?" (how I imagine it anyway)
The inverse is sometimes even worse. You carefully fill out the name with both capital and lower case characters only to discover the rest of the game’s text is entirely in caps.

I always enter my moniker of C F anyways. Since it refers to me as a person (Proper noun) and is meant to be said as two letters, I have absolutely no problems with it always being in block capitals.
I renamed all my Pokemons so that they were spelled correct.
All I can say is…
